Sneaking Into Places That Weren’t Designed For Me is an exclusive pop up exhibition in Gotemborg, Sweden, presenting the art work of 10 different queer artists from Brazil, who express through their own techniques and visions the surreptitious insertion of oneself into a community, group or region.

Idealized by Eduarda Nieto, this is an invitation to debate how design can be a tool of entrance into territories that historically were not created as so.

"I'm aware design won't save the world, but the choices we make through it can definitely make some impact. In publicity, artistic and political terms. This exhibition aims towards a more democratic rescue of who we are, who we were and who we want to be, while making our bodies, works and identities cross the world by the paths we are subtly creating ourselves", shares Nieto.

Jean Prado, Energia Dykezona, Vics, Beatriz de Paula, Fudida Silk, Preto Novo, Olivia Pito, Julia Zuzzis, Pedro Lima and Eduarda Nieto are the brazilian names, collectives and brands presented at the vernissage, with performance of local dj PRESCOTT in an unique opportunity that gathers brazilian queer and diverse culture at one of the most known cities in Scandinavia. The event receives partnership and support from Arbetarnas Bildningsförbund, (ABF), the largest study association in Sweden, and Loud Grrrl, a music business and network that aims to increase equality in cultural life and raise visibility to underrepresented groups.
